It is the most recent milestone reached by the shipyard, a symbol, if not a statement, of the great success of the V Series by Valhalla Boatworks . And, at 16.9 meters, it is also the new flagship. It is the Valhalla V-55, a luxury center console for sport fishing, strong with 3,000 outboard horsepower (63 kn) and complete with every comfort you could want on board.
Valhalla V55
The main goal of the V55 is simple, to offer the best possible through a boat that is perfect for sport fishing, competition, as well as sport cruising. In fact, the 4.7-meter wide beam allows for greater tank capacity, more space and mobility on board, and more room below deck, where as many as three cabins can be accommodated. But the exteriors are also designed not to disappoint, optimizable to one’s needs, and comfortable even in fast sailing.

Valhalla V55 – Exterior
Looking at the exterior, it should first be noted that there are several different configurations for the Valhalla V55, starting with the superstructures. In fact, the V55 can be fully-open, and thus fully open, or equipped with hard top and, further, hard top and tuna tower with wheelhouse (like the version presented in the photo). Obviously, the choice regarding these elements is profoundly influenced, especially in the case of the tuna tower, by the type of use to be made of it. But the options are not limited to these three cases.

Turning to the deck, which is completely walkaround around the center console, the Valhalla V55 also offers choices in relation to the midship configuration, where, in addition to the helm station and a first row consisting of 5 ergonomic seats, one can opt for a second row of an additional 5 seats or a C-shaped sofa with a center table. Behind this, there is also a refrigerator and sink, as well as an optional grill and a 24-inch multifunction display facing the cockpit behind.

Characterizing the cockpit, which is extremely wide to provide movement during fishing trips, is an additional sofa, facing aft and equipped with an opening backrest. Inside this are a large set of lockers and holders designed specifically for fishing equipment. There are, of course, plenty of cup holders, rod holders, and live tanks. Additional folding bench seating is located in the broadside, in addition to overhead loading hatches. This is complemented by two 400-liter tanks for the catch, with the possibility of being refrigerated.

Finally, in the bow, there is a lounge area still equipped with rod holders and lockers. However, a deckhouse sundeck, a settee facing the bow, and two upholstered lounge seats are also featured here. Also completing the area are two liftable electric tables.

Shifting the focus below deck, being designed to be elegant and usable while cruising, the V55 features interiors characterized by extensive use of wood and quality finishes, favoring natural light. The spaces, in terms of layout, feature a large forward master stateroom with a central double bed and access onto a full bathroom with a separate, private shower room.
Floors – Note here the different configurations in the middle of the boat
In the middle of the boat, however, the saloon takes its place, furnished with an L-shaped sofa with table and, on the opposite walls, a full kitchen. Two additional cabins are located aft, and proceeding further, it is possible to enter the engine room, where all vital components, including aSeakeeper stabilizer, are located to make the stay on board more comfortable.

Performance and Propulsion
Coming to performance, the Valhalla V55 features a deep-V double-step hull optimized for outboard propulsion given by 4, or 5, 600-horsepower Mercury V12s. Depending on the configuration, the speeds vary, but they are nonetheless and undoubtedly remarkable. With quad engines and full tuna tower layout, the maximum speed attainable equals 55 knots, while it becomes 59 knots in the case of the version with only hard top, but no tower. Instead, the latter version, in the case of quintuple engines, reaches a maximum speed of 64 knots.
In terms of embarkable fuel capacity, the tanks can accommodate about 4,540 liters of fuel, thus providing a significant range. To conclude, the V55 is also equipped with an electric fuel management system, which allows each engine to draw from dedicated fuel tanks, improving reliability and trim.
