After the first Saxdor 200 Sportand the 320 GTO, the shipyard is launching the new Saxdor 270 GTO. If you want to see it live, it will be at the Boot in Düsseldorf 2023. A middle model between the previous two, which goes to intercept an audience looking for a sporty, versatile, modern cabin-cruiser that is compact in size and price. The first option for the new SX270 Limited edition is with a 225-horsepower Mercury V6. Price in this case? From 77,500 + VAT.

The two steps in the hull immediately show the sporty attitude of this boat. The line, in general, reminds of sport-car. The 270 GTO was born as a natural continuation of the other two models, filling a market “gap” where this young brand had not yet landed.

Let’s get to the heart of this motorboat. The bow area is one large full-beam sundeck suitable for relaxing. The aft cockpit is, however, modular. You can also have a sundeck here, but the main use is as a social/dining area with as many as six seats. A design gem is the aft glass dividing the access to the two small beaches around the engine. Not only aesthetics but also a guarantee for the safety for children.

On the two sides are two “gates” that open and close for easy movement. While waiting to go aboard, the 2.60-meter beam still suggests significant space, at least in the cockpit. How? Thanks also to the choice of placing the canopy posts on the top of the broadside towards the stern.
The support system also seems to function as a handrail. Also stylistically on the two sides are two windows with a black outline, above, reminiscent of a sports car window, giving a dynamic character (as does the windshield) to the line.

A compact weekender for a couple who wants to sail will probably find something interesting in this hull. The cabin is forward and appears bright thanks to several upper windows. There are, however, no side portholes. The volumes of this space are also remarkable because there is, at least in the basic version, no separate toilet. The toilet and sink are then available but in the cabin.

Saxdor 270 GTO – Motorization
The propulsion of this boat is outboard. Two steps in the hull demonstrate the sporty, yet comfort- and performance-conscious footprint. Giving voice to these water lines is an outboard motor with a 225-, 250-, or 300-horsepower engine. The hull is constructed of a sandwich construction to achieve the lightest possible weight while maintaining good strength. The maximum speed claimed by the shipyard is about 45 knots.
