The SAY Carbon brand is preparing to launch a new model of about 16 meters, which will become the flagship of the German shipyard. This brand’s boats are known for their high performance, and the SAY Carbon 52 will not be outdone either, thanks to a low displacement (7.5 tons) due to the extensive use of carbon fiber instead of fiberglass on the hull and deck.
What kind of boat will the SAY Carbon 52 be? Definitely a boat with unusual lines, as seen in the renderings. The aft area is the most distinctive, with the cockpit only partially covered by the hardtop structure where two sundecks find their place.
Continuing into the deck area, below the hardtop, we find a large central dining table with complementary seating, one L-shaped and the other placed lengthwise. This is also home to the galley and command area, with a console and two individual seats for pilot and co-pilot on the right side. Forward of the sporty windshield we find a flush deck, in keeping with the aggressive profile of the SAY Carbon 52.
On the lower level we find very interesting spaces for the category. Going down we find a sofa and an L-shaped chart table on the starboard side, while in the bow is the cabin with a large central double bed; on either side run two windows that illuminate the whole room. You can choose whether to keep the“open space” structure or put a door to separate the two rooms, the common and the cabin room. For the bathroom, too, you can choose between an all-in-one configuration or one with a separate shower stall. On either side run two windows that illuminate the entire room.
The SAY Carbon 52’s engine options are very interesting, starting with the more classic ones with two 430-hp Volvo V8 gasoline engines or alternatively two 440-hp Volvo D6 diesel engines capable of propelling the boat up to about 45 knots of speed. There is also a hybrid engine option with an electric jet engine that allows a maximum speed of 8 knots to be reached in complete silence.
